Jordan Ministries Offering Online Workshop and Mini Retreat

Friends,

With the virus still going strong, it looks like Theology Uncorked and Praying Together for Peace will be on hold for some time to come. Jordan Ministry, however, has gone online and continues to offer really good programming. So from time to time, I will be forwarding notices of those offerings. I can’t think of a better way to fill in some of those empty hours we all have. Stay happy and healthy and may our Creator bless you in every way possible.

THE JEWISH WORLD OF JESUS

Tuesday, August 11  |  6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

An online workshop with Dr. Malka Z. Simkovich

What were the core beliefs and practices of Jewish life in Judea and elsewhere in the Greco-Roman world? What "made" someone a Jew in the first century? This online workshop by Dr. Malka Z. Simkovich of Catholic Theological Union in Chicago will explore early Jewish texts that shed light upon the beliefs and practices common to all Jews in the ancient world. By studying the texts, this workshop will also shed new light on the Jewish context of Jesus' teachings, helping to present a fuller picture of the context of his life and ministry.

The cost for the workshop is $10.00.
