Besides Mass, our pastor, staff and lay ministers and volunteers reach out to the community in a variety of ways. The following information provides details on these various community-based ministries and social activities.
Pastoral Visits to the Sick
The pastor and lay ministers of caring are pleased to visit the ill and handicapped members of our parish in hospitals, nursing homes or in their own homes. Nowadays many hospitals and nursing homes do not inform us when a parishioner is admitted. Anyone in our parish family who anticipates hospitalization for any length of time, moves to an assisted living facility or nursing home, or who becomes home-bound should notify the Parish Office.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads women and men to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender.
Cafe Justo (Just Coffee)
Just Coffee's company Mission is to deliver the highest quality, organic, environmentally-conscious, fresh-roasted coffee to our customers at a price that is fair and just to support its farm workers / producers in Chiapas, Mex.
Craft and Sewing Group
Not all of us sew, knit, quilt, and crochet, but we all have different talents that we can share with the needy such as those served by the Reachout Women's Center. Come join us and share your talents!
Care and Share Ministry
The death of a loved one is an especially difficult time. Care and Share is a parish ministry that for many years has done receptions after funerals for members whose relatives call the parish office to request this help.
Second Sunday Coffee and Donuts
Come share coffee and other refreshments with fellow parishioners. Catch up with friends, or meet someone you’ve seen but never met — those who sit on the other side of the church!
Small Faith Communities
Join or create a small faith community of eight to 10 parishioners who meet once a month in their homes or in the parish. Together they pray, read and reflect on the scripture readings for the following Sunday or use topical materials designed for small groups.
