Theology Uncorked – Voter Suppression and Voter Expansion

Monday, October 7
PARISH HALL
6:30pm

Our speaker on the issue of “Voter Suppression and Voter Expansion” is Vivian Harte, current president of The League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League never supports or opposes any political party or candidate.

Vivian will be speaking to us about how the League is addressing these important issues of voter suppression and how to expand voter participation.

The League of Women Voters has two separate and distinct roles: Voters Service - Citizen Education: we present unbiased nonpartisan information about elections, the voting process, and issues.

Action and Advocacy we are also nonpartisan, but, after study, we use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest.

Theology Uncorked is a free program for theological reflection, good conversation, delicious wines and fresh popcorn! This program is offered usually on the first Monday of each month with presentations, movies, etc., which allow us to further examine our lives as it relates to Christ's teachings. You are welcome to bring snacks or a bottle of wine to share as we delve into our theology! All are welcome to join us!
