Theology Uncorked – Drop the Charges, for Christ’s sake!

Our speaker tonight, Stefan Warner, will talk about Dr. Scott Warren who is facing criminal charges for his involvement in humanitarian aid work. Stefan will cover the implications this trial has for humanitarian aid work and religious freedom.

Stefan Warner, Director Children & Youth Ministry, Southside Presbyterian Church

Stefan Warner currently serves as Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Southside Presbyterian Church. He works with the ‘No More Deaths Drop the Charges” campaign.

Originally from Harrah, Oklahoma, Stefan relocated to Tucson in the winter of 2017. He previously served as Minister of Youth & Young Adults at Church of the Open Arms (UCC) in Oklahoma City. He has served in a variety of roles in youth ministry setting with progressive Catholics, Baptists, Mennonites and more. Prior to moving to Arizona, Stefan worked with Christian Peacemaker Teams in Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as having traveled on delegations to Colombia and Grassy Narrows First Nation (Canada). Stefan is proud to be a co-owner of the Fertile Ground Cooperative, a worker-owned recycling and compost business in Oklahoma City.


Theology Uncorked is a free program for theological reflection, good conversation, delicious wines and fresh popcorn! This program is offered usually on the first Monday of each month with presentations, movies, etc., which allow us to further examine our lives as it relates to Christ's teachings. You are welcome to bring snacks or a bottle of wine to share as we delve into our theology! All are welcome to join us!
